the recent blogging issue has really aggitated me... so much so that i actually have to blog abt it...
i feel very sorry for those who have been reprimanded for expressing themselves too explicitly.. i DONT believe that they should have been..
the criminals in our society get charged and rightfully punished because they have committed a crime against a written law.. students in school get screwed by the teachers for blogging about the wrong issues... but what exactly is right or wrong? and under whose discretion is it based on? i mean who gives THEM the right to interpret wats right from wrong? and also they argue that its the world wide web and that everybody can read it ...and thus students should observe wat they say..but who are they to dictate wat goes on the freaking WORLD WIDE web
fine. respect is a virtue which a school should try to instill upon their students...and yes some of criticisms passed on certain blogs were a little rude to say the least... but i can't help but feel the school is over reacting .. suspending students just for being rude? calling down their parents even saying that they are emotionally unstable and need counseling? like huh?! i understand that the school is trying to protect the welfare of the teacher.. but dont u think wat their doing is a little excessive? ok fine... to berate the students for using such lewd language against a person of authority..thats fair enough..but isn't that sufficient? i mean do they actually have the ascendancy to punish individuals for disliking some one else ?
of course all the questions above are rhetorical because the ans can't be more obvious
secondly.. the school aint addressing the problem... they are faulting the students but wat abt the dude who started this all? i mean his level of incompetence must be seriously alarming to have incurred the wrath of so many students...i hope the school is doing something abt that..
i guess our asian culture is just not very friendly towards the idea of freedom of speech and insurbodination...well tough luck... hmm there is more to wat i have to say.. but i got other responsibilities... so till next time..

hmm i can't believe this myself..i am actually updating. a whole series of events has gone by since i last blogged, many things have blossomed and withered.. i guess u can say that life is a weird concoction of both felicity and tragedy.

sigh enough of that crap.. right now i wanna mention some people who are dear to me..

wo...i have really neglected my blog... hmm i guess i can use "home work" to justify my absence.. ahah and yes i better update before it becomes totally abandoned. right now it is practically just a hang out for jared, jon, wj and jan.

so many things have happened... kindred spirits for example.. that was an electrifying experience.. standing the spot light infront off 700 people was really quite an andrenaline rush! .......

blogging is seemingly becoming more challenging.. my words simply can't reflect the depth of my emotions.. hmmm right now... life is taking a turn... many things await me.. prelims.. o's... and many other changes.....

this world is an abominable place...it has been a host to wars which have lead to the deaths of millions...[even without them bloodshed is everyday affair]..it is a place where the rights of women are being undermined, and where children are deprived of an education as they are being used for cheap labour. the different societies are governed by corrupted politicians. whom in actual fact, are merely the puppets of the powers of the underworld. but something even worse has just happened.. something which would make all these terrible things seem trivial...and that would be.. *drum roll* THE REMOVAL OF MY COUCH~!!~.... well u see.. my room is kinda being re-furnished.. sadly it lead to the , i stress again, REMOVAL of my beloved couch... sigh... it was robbed from me ..sigh...

The mi sevens is a blink away..Its gonna be an exhilarating experience. however my affinity for playing for my school has led me to feel a little sad..Because it would be my last few opportunities to play in green and white.. the classroom enviroment can be 'lethal'..it is where a simple gaze can be interpreted as a malevolent one..erupting a fight.. this may seem childish but this is apparent in some schools..victimisation also occurs..i personally classify this as an abhorrent act..as it is also 'lethal'.. especially in this fragile stage of our lives as teens, where we are still grappling with issues such as character and self-awareness..
hmm it certainly seems like school is not the safe microcosm of society which our parents perceive it to be..

comfirmation camp

i just got back from comfirmation camp, and i must say it was quite an experience. there were no distractions and surprisingly politics, for once, was not an issue. we gathered together as a community.. as a family... to celebrate the friendship we shared and most imortantly to experience God's love.
as readers i am sure u won't want me to decribe the whole camp in chronological order. so i will spare u the agony and will only share the more juicy bits......
there was a session where we were made to split up into little groups of 2s or 3s. i sat on the floor of the dimly lit room accompanied by my friend matt heng. between us was a candle, its flickering flame casted long shadows onto the floor which gave rise to a tranquil setting. there,hand in hand, we relfected abt friendship. through pray my emotions were stirred.. that session made me realise that,yes, i have taken many of my friends forgranted..i guess its time i did something abt that....
after that session... the mood was set.. i was more reflective.. getting myself ready for the 'climax' of the camp..and that would be the pray over session..
once again the session took place in a dimly lit room. i kneeled on the floor.. signifying that i was ready to be prayed over..i felt a mixture of anxiety of nervousness.. but once again through pray,the uncertainties vanished..then i felt the presence of a pair of hands over on my head.it was john and mel [cathechist]. They started to pray over me and as they did a wave of heat surged inside me. The heat spiraled through my body causing me to feel calm and relaxed. soon me legs grew weak.i questioned whether it was just my imagination, but before i could come to a conclusion i fell face first on to the floor. they continued to pray over me and the heat gradually intensified. it was simply a blissful experience...
the prayer soon came to an end. i got up and looked ard.some of my friends were also slained and were still lying peacefully on the floor undisturbed, others were crying .it was beautiful a scene, a scene which will forever dwell within me...
we all had a tangible experience with holy spirit that night but i hope that everybody would not only relish that experience but cherish it as well. rememeber guys, the camp was to help us to grow spiritaully and not just to attain a spiritual high. thus i sincerely pray that our experience will not be a transient one...

da lun's last entry has inspired me to right my first proper entry..anyhow.. he said that life would be more pleasant if things were simple... or something along those lines...i however don't feel the same way..
complications are undeniable in our lives..yes they may be crappy.. but they also help to spice things up~~.. i mean i don't want to live a stagnant life.. cuss if that were the case i wouldn't be living nor experiencing.. i would simply be waiting for time to drift by..besides life would be more euphoric if things were allowed to fluctuate..as true happiness can only be embraced by one who has faced shit..
humans weren't made to be simple... amoebas were..thats why they are insignificant. We on the other hand, were meant to build little space ships and reach for the stars..
